After five rounds in the Eredivisie, the FC Twente women are still without a point. The defending champions recorded a difficult 0-1 victory at ADO Den Haag.

Twente took the lead in the ninth minute through Belgium international Elena Dhont, who scored from a pass from Eredivisie top scorer Fenna Kalma. After that, coach Joran Pot’s team didn’t show much. ADO had some good chances to equalize but missed them.

A 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle was a boost for PSV after a difficult start to the season. It was only the second win of the year for the team from Eindhoven.

Playmaker Inessa Kaagman was twice on target and attackers Esmee Brugts and Joëlle Smits also scored a goal.

Long and quiet return trip

Fortuna Sittard also worked on the goal difference in the game against sc Heerenveen: 5:1. Moisa van Koot, Tessa Wullaert, Jarne Teulings, Dana Foederer and Hanna Huizenga scored for the home club. Despite a late goal from Janneke Ennema, it was undoubtedly a long and quiet journey home from Limburg for the Frisian team.

Closer Telstar clinched the first point of the season. A visit to Excelsior made it 2-2. Anna Ursem gave Telstar the lead after 50 minutes. But things seemed to go wrong after a goal from substitute Kathelyn Hendriks and an own goal from Telstar midfielder Nienke Wierda. Dominique Bruinenberg made sure Telstar got rid of the hateful zero in the closing stages.

Ajax are also in the Eredivisie without losing a point. This team plays against VV Alkmaar on Sunday. Feyenoord will not play this round. The top game Feyenoord-Ajax is on the program on November 6th.
