It is a tough start to the home world championship in the almost sold-out IWC Arena for Pablo Lachat-Couchepin, Sven Michel, Yannick Schwaller and Benoît Schwarz-van Berkel of CC Genève.

They start the game with the advantage of the last stone, but only in the 7th end can they convert this into the desired house of two. By then, however, the American curlers had stolen a stone on three sides. The Swiss can no longer make up for the narrow deficit in the last three points.

The duel in fourth place is also decisive for the match. Benoît Schwarz-van Berkel clearly loses to the veteran John Shuster – with 71:93 percent successful stones. (SDA)
