Manuel Akanji could play for Manchester City in the top-flight match against Arsenal.

The Premier League top match between Manchester City and Arsenal will take place on Sunday evening (from 5.30 pm on Blick) – with Manuel Akanji (28). Citizen coach Pep Guardiola (53) announced this on Good Friday.

“He is doing well,” said the Spaniard, “he is 100 percent ready and available against Arsenal.” During the second test match of the Swiss national team, the central defender was injured and therefore remained on the bench.

Whirlwind after Romano’s tweet before the Ireland match

A message from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano caused a stir, announcing the Nati star’s early departure. Meanwhile, Akanji was in the team meeting before the match against Ireland. There was never any talk of an early return to Manchester, which is why the SFV was surprised by the report.

The Swiss is also part of Guardiola’s permanent staff in his second season at Man City. Akanji was involved in 20 of the 28 league matches, playing in 18 of them. (ch)
