It is not the first return of Patrick Frame (54) to the Joggeli, but it is all the sweeter for it. While his former club Basel is battling relegation, the Winterthur coach and his team are in the middle of the race for the championship group. After only one defeat in the last eleven games, the Eulachstadt can even dream of Europe. Only Servette (22) scored more points this year than Winterthur (18).
The people of Zurich also have their rising opponents to thank for reaching soaring heights. Because FCB threw Frame out the door in February 2022, even though he scored an average of 2.11 points in 37 games as head coach. He is still the most successful Basel coach since Urs Fischer.
