Sierro as the only newcomer?
Murat Yakin will likely stick with his proven staff for most of the squad. As Blick reported, probably Vincent Sierro from Toulouse to be the only newcomer in the Nati squad, with a nomination from the Servette players Dereck Kutesa or Alexis Antunes would be entirely possible.
The Montpellier defender also returns Becir Omeragic probably back in the selection, the defender has already played four international matches under Vladimir Petkovic.
Nati’s timetable until the European Championships
The Swiss national team still has the following dates before they start the European Championship in Germany against Hungary on June 15.
- March 18 to 22: Training camp in La Manga (Spain)
- March 23: Denmark – Switzerland in Copenhagen
- March 26: Ireland v Switzerland in Dublin
- May 17/24: Provisional European Championship selection announced
- May 27: Start of preparatory camp in St. Gallen
- June 4: Switzerland – Estonia in Lucerne
- June 8: Switzerland – Austria in St. Gallen
- June 7: Announcement of the final European Championship selection
- June 10: Departure for the European Championship camp in Stuttgart
- June 15: opening match of the European Championship in Cologne against Hungary
- June 19: European Championship group match in Cologne against Scotland
- June 23: European Championship group match in Frankfurt against Germany
