Aryna Sabalenka must accept her second early exit in a row.

Aryna Sabalenka fails in the eighth finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. The number 2 in the world lost in three sets to the American Emma Navarro (WTA 23).

Sabalenka had to admit defeat 3:6, 6:3, 2:6 after almost two hours. It is the second early exit in a row for the winner of the Australian Open. In Dubai she lost in the second round to the Croatian Donna Vekic.

In the battle for No. 1, the recent early elimination is a bitter setback for the 25-year-old. Last year Sabalenka reached the final in Indian Wells. (SDA)
