Wendy Holdener postpones her comeback until next winter.

The last races of the season take place without Wendy Holdener (30). The woman from Schwyz has decided not to make her comeback at the World Cup until next winter.

Various reasons led to this decision, head coach Beat Tschoor confirmed to SRF. “She is now treating herself to a longer time-out, taking no risks and then going full steam ahead to restart the new season.”

Holdener suffered a broken ankle in mid-December and had to undergo surgery. She had repeatedly emphasized that she would like to return to Are (Sd). But that’s not happening now. Her name is missing from Swiss-Ski’s lineup for the technology weekend in Sweden.

As Tschuor says: the healing process is well underway, but not yet as advanced as desired. Holdener is also going through a difficult time privately. A few days ago her brother and manager Kevin (†34) died of cancer. (beer)
