The next skier must end the season early. Swiss speed specialist Jasmine Flury (30) will definitely no longer participate in competitions this winter.

Flury itself will announce the early end of the season on Friday. «Unfortunately my season is already over. I have cartilage damage in my knee,” the 2023 downhill world champion wrote on Instagram. Research is currently underway to find “the best possible solution”.

Two weeks ago, Flury rode to second place in the Crans-Montana descent. The next day she suffered a blow to the knee during the second descent in the Fuchsloch and subsequently decided not to participate in any more competitions. The podium place in Valais would be the last major success of the season for Flury.
