JJ Moser and Coyotes fail to win

A month ago the Arizona Coyotes were still dreaming of the play-offs, but now the bottom of the rankings is getting closer for the team from Glendale. The Coyotes are only ranked 13th out of 16 teams in the West.

Disaster loomed early against Toronto. The guests are 1-0 ahead after just under two minutes, and after the first third it is already 3-0. With their ninth win in the last eleven games, the Canadians confirm their good run.

Former ZSC striker Auston Matthews is a two-time goalscorer – he has now scored 51 goals this season. Janis Moser gets the most ice time of any player at almost 25 minutes and has a minus-1 record.

To break the NHL’s negative record, the Arizona Coyotes’ decline would have to last more than two weeks. The infamous record in the best ice hockey league in the world is shared by the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres, who were defeated eighteen times in a row in the 2003/04 (Pittsburgh) and 2020/21 (Buffalo) seasons respectively.

Kurashev also in the low

Philipp Kurashev also had to admit defeat again to the Chicago Blackhawks. The 3–1 home loss to the Philadelphia Flyers was the bottom team in the league’s 42nd loss in their 57th game of the season. The last eleven games have resulted in just one win for the team of No. 1 draft pick Connor Bedard. (SDA)
