Swiss ski jumpers disappoint again

The Swiss ski jumpers were also unable to convince in the second World Cup competition in Japan. Gregor Deschwanden is the only one of the quartet to reach the second round in Sapporo. After jumps of 115.5 and 108 m, the man from Lucerne landed in a modest 29th place, which Killian Peier had occupied the day before. The Vaudois are 31st on Sunday, 1.5 points short of qualifying for the final. Once again Remo Imhof (42nd) and Simon Ammann (45th) cannot recommend themselves for a second jump. The victory goes to the Slovenian Domen Prevc. Austrian Stefan Kraft, who is in the lead in the World Cup and celebrated his ninth victory of the season a day earlier, has to settle for fourth place.
