Tiger Woods has to cancel his comeback.

Golf superstar Tiger Woods had to cut short his comeback on the PGA Tour. The 48-year-old withdrew on the second day of the tournament in Pacific Palisades, California.

Woods had already expressed major physical problems towards the end of the opening round, which he finished with 72 strokes and 1 over par. The next day, the fifteen-time major winner played six more holes and then gave up. PGA official Mark Dusbabek said the reason was because Woods was ill. However, the task had nothing to do with his ankle or back problems.

After his injury-related retirement from the Masters last April and subsequent surgery on his right foot, Woods only made his comeback in December during his invitational tournament in the Bahamas. The $20 million event at Riviera Country Club was now Woods’ first official PGA tournament since the 2023 Masters. (SDA)
