The Kadetten Schaffhausen started the main round of the European League with a win. They won the home match against the Serbs from Vojvodina Novi Sad at 27:24 (15:13).

The Swiss, a favorite with the bookmakers, made up for a false start before half time and a four-goal deficit. Thanks to seven goals from Odinn Thor Rikhardsson, the victory was never really in danger.

The European League is the second highest level in the European Handball Cup. The points against the group opponent from the preliminary round are carried over to the main round. In the case of the Cadets, this is a win and a loss against Flensburg-Handewitt. There are now two home and away matches against the other two opponents, Vojvodina Novi Sad and Bjerringbro-Silkeborg from Denmark.

The winner of the group of four advances directly to the quarter-finals, the second and third places qualify for participation in the round of 16. (SDA)
