Figures from the 23rd Super League round: Two players receive the maximum penalty

1/7
FCB match winner Thierno Barry gets the five, just like his defensive colleague Barisic, who clears everything.

FC Basel – St. Gallen 1-0

Despite being outnumbered for almost the entire half, FCB went without conceding a goal for the fourth time in the last six games in the 1-0 win against St. Gallen. Basel’s standout: defender Adrian Barisic, who clears everything at the back. Reds sinner Renato Veiga, on the other hand, is having a wasted day – as is Espen defender Albert Vallci, who is far too easily dried out by goalscorer Barry when he concedes a goal.

Basel – St. Gallen 1-0: Zigi almost scores the equalizer in injury time(04:12)

FC Zurich – standings 1-0

What was he thinking? After twelve minutes, GC-Abubakar commits a rare, stupid act of violence against Krasniqi, but he gets a red card and Blick gets a straight 1. The second red offender, FCZ defender Katic, also comes off badly. And the person who caused the penalty, GC’s own Tim Meyer, also gets an unsatisfactory one. The rest of the derby is a boring home cooking, with a few outliers up and a few more down. To the point, FCZ coach Henriksen’s comment after the match: “It was a really bad match.”

Lugano–YB 3:3

What a great game! Back and forth and back and forth! Always score when you least expect it. In the end there are six, evenly distributed. Plus two sharp (and correct) VAR interventions. In the persistent rain in Lugano, the match between Ticino and Bern offers everything to make your football heart beat faster. Therefore, the numbers are generally high. Especially those of the attacking players. Joker Mvuka would have been awarded a straight six if he had hit the virtually empty net in the 87th minute. But he didn’t. So he gets one in nine fives.

Winterthur – Lucerne 2:1

The FCL shows two faces on the Schützenwiese. In half everyone is enough, if not more. Above all, Adrian Grbic in his debut, Thibault Klidje and Teddy Okou shook up the FCW defense. But in the second half, everyone is clearly inadequate. Also goalkeeper Pascal Loretz, who looks unhappy at 1:1. So in the end no one deserves a 5er.

However, the second half is excellent for the Winterthur team. Sayfallah Ltaief’s actions are emblematic of this. He really puts things on edge and becomes the decisive player. A well-rehearsed play with a long ball from Granit Lekaj to Tobias Schättin, who was substituted in the second half, ultimately decided the match. The only unsatisfactory players are Souleymane Diaby and Basil Stillhart, who have to go into hiding before half time.

Winterthur – Lucerne 2:1: The decimated Lucerne is misled by a long ball(03:35)

Yverdon – Napkin 2:1

Servette has been undefeated for 15 matches and stalks leader YB week after week. And now Geneva comes across the newly promoted Yverdon. Of all people, Anthony Sauthier scored the golden goal for the Vaudois team from a former Grenade player. In addition to the winning goal scorer, striker Kevin Carlos, who equalized, and clockmaker Boris Cespedes also stood out at Yverdon. Servette striker Enzo Crivelli, however, had a pitch-black day. The Frenchman was sent off in the first half for a stupid act – which was punished with the worst possible penalty.

SLO – Lausanne Sport 1:1

Ishmael Gharbi is by far the best player in the game. The young Spaniard, hired from Paris-Saint-Germain, makes the opponent dizzy and scores the clever 1-0. Goalkeeper Jérémy Vachoux ensures that SLO can keep the point and the draw at the start of the second half. For his part, Moldovan striker Vitalie Damascan is not having an easy match and seems to be struggling to adapt, having only arrived at SLO this winter.

Simone Pafundi disappointed for Lausanne-Sport on his debut with the starting eleven. Donat Rrudhani, on the other hand, shows a good match. The winger, on loan from YB, almost scored the winning goal in the second half. The absence of the injured Samuel Kalu is noticeable in the offensive. Rares Ilie does not succeed in making the Nigerian forget.
