Host FCZ’s big goal is to set a new attendance record for a league match in Swiss women’s football. “Above all, we want to show the attractiveness of women’s football to a wider audience. The short period between the two matches also means that the women have to warm up on a field right next to the stadium. A circumstance that Fabienne Humm happily accepts. “The fact that we can play in such a setting in Letzigrund is a nice signal from the FCZ, the league and also the city of Zurich,” says the striker happily.
YB’s record is shaky
Humm and her teammates don’t want to put too much pressure on themselves before the premiere. “But of course there is a bit of nervousness involved,” says the woman from Aargau. “But that is the case in every derby, regardless of how many spectators there will be in the stadium.”
There must be more than 8,923 on Saturday if the FCZ wants to break the attendance record for the match between YB and GC last October.
