The NFL is increasingly trying to internationalize American football. Next season there will be a match in South America for the first time when the Philadelphia Eagles play in São Paulo on the first match day. It is not yet known which second team is involved.

In addition to São Paulo, London and Munich will also host a competition in 2024. Beginning with the 2025 season, the NFL plans to play up to eight games outside the U.S. each season. (SDA)
