About Henriksen’s departure in the summer: the FCZ amateur theater is over

The FCZ finally puts an end to the drama about the coach. The Dane announced months ago that Bo Henriksen will leave the club at the end of the season, as was announced in his home country at the time.

Henriksen and the FCZ never talked about it. Instead, an increasingly dubious dance around the possible contract extension was staged.

Initially, the issue was kept quiet by both parties for a long time. When there was no other option in December, the FCZ decided to start contract talks with Henriksen.

But how do discussions work if both parties are not actually interested in further cooperation? For the coach, departure had been a given for a long time. And it was also clear to sports director Milos Malenovic that Henriksen could not be the man at the top of the professional team in the total FCZ reorganization.

It was also contradictory that Malenovic himself assured that signing a new contract would be an extremely time-consuming process – but then the date was talked about as a single evening in the training camp.

Now, under the pressure of the current sports crisis, things finally happened as had been foreseen for a long time. Even if there is still a bit of theater: to prevent Henriksen’s decision to leave months ago, it is now announced that they have not agreed on a common ground for the future. But at least the departure is finally official.
