Simona Waltert (WTA 175) lost to number 3 seed Anna Blinkowa (WTA 51) 3:6, 0:6 in just 70 minutes. The 23-year-old from Graubünden was only able to keep up at the beginning – until the score was 3:3. She won only one of eight service games.
