Orange cricketers start the second round of the T20 World Cup with a loss

The Dutch cricketers have lost their first game in the second round of the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh were 9 runs too strong in Hobart, Australia.

The bowlers didn’t get off to a good start: Fred Klaassen and Bas de Leede didn’t have sharp eyes and Shariz Ahmad was hit hard too. The fast Paul van Meekeren showed his good form, so the damage was limited to 144 runs.

The Netherlands disappointed at the stroke. Vikram Singh and De Leede were out after two balls. Colin Ackermann (62 runs) fought back bravely and Van Meekeren also got through, making it almost exciting. However, the damage had already been done and the backlog could no longer be cleared.

In the six-country group, with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals, India are next on Thursday.
