Koehlert and striker Sarr help Heerenveen to a late win in Volendam
sc Heerenveen secured a late win at FC Volendam. The Frisians defeated the Volendam team 3-1 with goals from Mats Köhlert and Amin Sarr in the 85th and 87th minutes.
The result leaves Heerenveen seventh in the Eredivisie and Volendam lags behind with FC Emmen. The North Hollanders have a worse goal difference.
Have a good start Volendam
Volendam started well and created a few chances. The first was for Benaissa Benamar, who saw a stunning shot land below the bar.
Ibrahim El Kadiri then appeared to score for Volendam with a sweeping shot from within range of goalkeeper Andries Noppert, but Koehlert saved with a header off the line.
Robert Mühren thought he could break the spell on an El Kadiri free-kick but after consultation with the video referee his goal was ruled out for offside.

Then it hit the other side. After a duel between Köhlert and Daryl van Mieghem, Sydney van Hooijdonk was in exactly the right place to make it 0-1.
Still, Volendam got what it deserved before the break. This time, after a cross from Carel Eiting, Mühren saw his tapper honored at close range.
Duel paused for a while
The game ended in a tie in the chaotic second half and was stopped after 67 minutes due to a thunderstorm.
Heerenveen won thanks to a nice diagonal shot by Köhlert (after a nice pass from Thom Haye). Sarr completed the Frisian party immediately afterwards with a tapper.
