Michelle Gisin is absent until further notice.

The 30-year-old suffered a bruised shoe edge when she fell during the Cortina descent on Friday. A painful injury that causes a bruise to form at the top of the ski boot.

The woman from Engelberg said she got off “very lightly”. “The impact in the nets was very strong because of the high speed and I was lucky that all the protection systems worked very well.” Now the situation must be reassessed from week to week.

Gisin will not participate in the giant slalom at Kronplatz (Italy) on Tuesday. It is currently unclear when she will return to the World Cup. (SDA/che)
