Van Empel at the highest level for the third year in a row after the Cyclocross World Cup
It seems to be getting almost normal. A World Cup competition in cyclocross is won by Fem van Empel this season. Also today in Tábor, Czech Republic, where the 20-year-old rider took her third win in a row.
Perhaps Van Empel’s biggest competitor, Lucinda Brand, was unable to compete due to a fractured metacarpal. But that leaves a lot of competition; Annemarie Worst, Puck Pieterse, Denise Betsema, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado all took part in Tábor.

However, Van Empel only had something to fear from Worst and Pieterse in the final lap. The latter was the only one on the bike staying near the planks, hoping to make a hole. The worst, however, got in the way of her career. Van Empel, who hadn’t taken a step too far, then jumped away impressively.
