Roman Josi (r.) and Nashville can celebrate again.

After two losses, the Nashville Predators, led by captain Roman Josi, are back on the road to success. The Bern native starred with a goal and an assist in the 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild.

The Predators achieved this thanks to a strong final third in which they turned things around with two goals inside 35 seconds. After an assist from Filip Forsberg (43rd) to make it 2-1, Roman Josi scored the winning goal to make it 3-1 with a long shot in the 53rd minute. This comes about in a strange way. Because Josi seems to shoot the puck under the shirt of Minnesota player Brock Fabers.

Best Swiss scorer again

The Bern defender now has 10 goals and 32 assists this season and is again number 1 in the “Swiss” scorers list in the NHL, ahead of Kevin Fiala (41 points).

On Saturday, Nashville and Josi face the biggest possible challenge in the best ice hockey league in the world. The Predators will take on the Edmonton Oilers, who are undefeated in more than a month, on the road.

With a 3-0 win at home against Philipp Kurashev’s Chicago Blackhawks, the Canadians recorded their 15th win in a row thanks to two goals from the excellent Connor McDavid. Only two wins are missing from the Pittsburgh Penguins’ record from the 1992/93 season. (SDA)
