Two stars score more than 60 points

In Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns, two players broke the 60-point mark on the 18th anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s 81 points for the Los Angeles Lakers against Toronto. Philadelphia’s Embiid, last season’s MVP, scored 70 points in the 76ers’ 133:123 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, while Towns scored 62 in his Minnesota Timberwolves’ 125:128 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

Wilt Chamberlain holds the league record with 100 points in a game, ahead of Bryant with 81. (SDA)
