Vos wins NK Gravel, her fifth event to become a national champion

Marianne Vos won the NK gravel with great power development. Halfway through the race in Epe, the 35-year-old Jumbo-Visma rider made a gap in her first attack that proved impossible for her competitors.

And many big names had come to these championships, like Lorena Wiebes and Puck Moonen. Vos felt that the 70k dirt road race would fit in well with her preparation for the cyclo-cross.

Fourteenth NK title

Vos is now a five-time champion, including road (four times), cyclo-cross (four times), track (three times) and time trial (twice).

In the women’s race, Moniek Tenniglo finished second ahead of Lorena Wiebes.

The men’s title went to Coen Vermeltfoort after a sprint, ahead of Lars Loohuis and Jasper Ockeloen.
