After eight defeats in a row, the Los Angeles Kings won 5-2 at the Carolina Hurricanes. Nashville lost to champions Vegas 1:4.
In the Kings’ convincing victory, Kevin Fiala (27) was on the ice for almost 18 minutes and left at the end of the game with a plus-1 balance. After collecting points in the last four games, the Swiss can no longer improve his personal statistics of 10 goals and 27 assists. The last time the Kings won was back in the New Year – on December 28, they defeated San Jose 5-1.
Roman Josi contributed the assist on the Predators’ lone goal in Nashville’s 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Tennessee franchise is heading into the playoffs after five wins from its last eight games and is in 7th place in the West, right behind Los Angeles. The Kings have just one point more, but have played four fewer games than Nashville. (SDA/dti)
