The match between Lausanne and Kloten (5-1 win for the home team) was only a few minutes old when about 50 spectators from some of the home fans suddenly stood up. Within a few seconds they exchange their neutral clothing for blue Kloten shirts.
Standing, they protested with a banner against the mandatory identity checks for visitors, which are carried out at the Lausanne Arena, but also at other National League rinks.
There is also a banner hanging at the Ultras of Lausanne. The message: “Against identity checks in Kloten, Lausanne and everywhere else.” Apparently today the two rival groups agreed to defend the same message.
Not the first protest
After about ten minutes of singing, the residents of Zurich pack their things and peacefully head to the guest sector designated for them.
Not for the first time this season, fan groups are peacefully protesting against mandatory identity checks and personalized tickets. A fan group from Lausanne had already watched a match in Zug on a screen in a square in front of the stadium. This campaign also found a certain response. It will probably be the same with Kloten’s peaceful infiltration of the seats.
