The heroically working piste team on the Chuenisbärgli in Adelboden was spared nothing this year. After the team led by track boss Toni Hari had to contend with high temperatures in recent weeks, the giant slalom on Saturday and the slalom on Sunday are now suddenly in danger of being buried under fresh snow.

“We have an extremely challenging weekend ahead of us,” predicts FIS race director Markus Waldner after the last conversation with the meteorologist. “In addition to snowfall, the weather expert fears that fog may also form due to the extremely high humidity.”

Racers and fans will probably have to have one thing above all in the coming days: patience.
