There is a Snowboard World Cup in Davos.

Snowboarding

For Dario Caviezel, the Alpine Snowboarders World Cup in Davos was a disappointment. The World Cup number two from Chur failed to qualify for the World Cup premiere in Landwassertal.

Caviezel risked too much after a failed first run and, like his teammate Gian Casanova, was eliminated. This means that the men’s decision will take place on Saturday afternoon (from 2 p.m.) without Swiss participation. Julie Zogg qualified with the best time for the women. Also in the final are Ladina Jenny, Jessica Keizer and Xenia von Siebenthal, who is participating in the World Cup for the first time. (SDA)

Moguls

19-year-old mogul slope specialist Paolo Pascarella reached the top 10 of the World Cup for the first time. The Ticino finished eighth in the parallel race in Bakuriani, smashing his previous best result. His best previous ranking was 31st place.

Canadian record holder Mikaël Kingsbury won. The eight-time world champion and 2018 Olympic champion made his mark for the fourth time in the tenth competition of the winter. (SDA)
