The Schaffhausen Cadets say goodbye to the European Championship break as confident leaders. After the 33:21 victory against BSV Bern, the defending champion now leads the handball NLA table with a six-point lead over the first pursuer.

The cadets benefit from the misstep of GC Amicitia Zurich, which surprisingly had to admit defeat against fifth-placed Suhr Aarau at 28:35 in front of its own audience. Cup winners Kriens-Luzern have now moved up to second place and showed no weakness in their 34:25 home win against St. Otmar St. Gallen, even without playmaker Andy Schmid. Pathi Winterthur also belongs to the group of first pursuers thanks to a 29:25 home win against Wacker Thun. With 24 points, Winterthur’s team is only two points behind GC Amicitia.
