Dismissal out of the blue: Juliana Suter.

This comes as a surprise. Swiss ski racer Juliana Suter announces her immediate retirement via Instagram. “That’s it! I’m retiring as a professional athlete. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved and looking forward to the future,” writes the 2019 World Junior Downhill Champion.

The 25-year-old Suter started last Sunday in Val-d’Isère, France and finished 26th in the Super-G. Her best placings in the World Cup are two 14th places in St. Anton (January 2023 in the Super-G). G) and in Lake Louise (departure December 2022). (Yes)
