Will Toni Kroos return to the national team? It is a question that the German football nation is currently asking itself. At least since DFB coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) described a return of Kroos as an “interesting thought” in the ZDF studio.
According to information from Bild, a comeback to the DFB is no longer a far-fetched idea for Kroos himself. The 33-year-old last played at the 2021 European Championship in the round of 16 against England (0-2) before announcing his immediate resignation.
Legendary status in Madrid
Since then, he has devoted himself entirely to Real Madrid, where he has been in charge of midfield since 2014. And with his calm playing style, precise crosses and steep, deep passes, he has contributed much to the resurrection of Spain’s record champions in European football – with five Champions League titles in nine years.
