Ten Hag doesn’t need the ‘rebellious’ Ronaldo against Chelsea
Erik ten Hag leaves Cristiano Ronaldo at home on Saturday when Manchester United visit Chelsea. The measure follows the much-discussed incident on Wednesday evening.
The Portuguese then left the stadium early against Tottenham Hotspur (2-0 win) after warming up.
According to the English media, Ronaldo would have refused to step in, only to walk away irritated.
Ten Hag then decided not to visit the 37-year-old attacker next Saturday.
Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League after beating Tottenham Hotspur. Upcoming opponent Chelsea is one place higher.
