FC Zurich – FC Lucerne
Zurich actually doesn’t do much wrong in this match. But in the end there is only one point against Lucerne. Since the performance is absolutely fine, there are hardly any unsatisfactory reviews. But FCZ defense chief Nikola Katic was awarded a 3 for his fatally bad pass, launching the FCL counterattack to equalize, as did striker Daniel Afriyie, who was again harmless. On the other hand, defender Lindrit Kamberi, the two wingers Adrian Guerrero and Nikola Boranijasevic and regular snapper Jonathan Okita are strong. In Lucerne, captain Ardon Jashari, the best Lucerne, and Maurico Willimann were rated 5. Willimann is playing in the Super League for the first time from the start. Nervousness? Can’t really tell. The entire Lucerne offensive is insufficient and hardly creates any chances to score.

Basel – GC 0:1
Even though it was difficult when we were outnumbered for seventy minutes, FC Basel’s attack against the rankings was far too little. Dubasin, the match winner in Lugano with a goal and an assist, did almost everything wrong. Jovanovic could not achieve anything offensively and opened the decisive goal with a bad loss of ball. Basel’s best goalkeeper, Mirko Salvi, was symbolic, thanks to whom the defeat was only 0-1. The midfield duo Abrashi and Ndenge were especially convincing in the rankings. With the jokers Francis Momoh (assist) and Dorian Babunski (goal), coach Bruno Berner showed a good talent for making substitutions.

YB – St. Gallen 3:0
Top fight? Only on paper. Good grades? Only for the YB actors. On the one hand there is striker Jean-Pierre Nsame, who scores twice and also nails the ball excellently up front to create space for attacker Meschak Elia. Or defender Aurele Amenda, the cousin of Winti wing Samuel Ballet. The U21 national team player acts as the defensive boss and is always one step faster than everyone else. Both Amenda and Nsame get a 6. Right back Lewin Blum (2 assists) narrowly missed because his attacking urge sometimes caused him to neglect his defensive side. If Blum finds the perfect balance here, the 22-year-old should soon find his first national team selection.
Good for Blum and YB: St. Gallen is far too weak on Saturday evening to take anything away. Gregory Karlen, Isaac Schmidt and Lukas Görtler (all grade 2) are total failures. For Görtler, this is largely due to his recent ankle injury. He only made his comeback against Yverdon on Wednesday. Against YB he had to be substituted after 76 minutes with pain. “I felt it at half-time, and in the second half it got even worse. I think that was also due to the hard surface (artificial grass, editor). I hope things will get better in the coming days,” said the FCSG captain.

Lausanne – Napkin 1:1
Samuel Kalu delivers a top match for Lausanne. The Nigerian winger scored a remarkable equalizer and also made some good passes down his left. He is the best player of the match and, as always, is well supported by the dynamic midfielder Antoine Bernede. Karlo Letica also deserves a mention, as does Swedish pace setter Jamie Roche, who is always well positioned. One man from Lausanne cannot be satisfied with his performance: captain Noë Dussenne, who was physically inferior at 1-0 and almost made it 2-0 in the 65th minute.
For the Grenats, Steve Rouiller shows an excellent performance in central defense, as does Timothé Cognat in midfield, who can often assert himself there and keep an overview. Bendeguz Bolla also deserves a mention, as does Gael Ondoua. Keigo Tsunemoto has major problems with Samuel Kalu, while Miroslav Stevanovic, Dereck Kutesa and Chris Bedia are far too inconspicuous.

Yverdon – SLO 2:1
Mohamed Tijani was the best player on the pitch. The Benin centre-back got Florian Danho sent off, scored the winning goal and was very solid overall. Varol Tasar, on the other hand, was very dangerous offensively and caused a lot of danger, especially in the first half. Igor Liziero was active, but too inaccurate in attack.
On the Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy side, Dylan Ouedraogo’s first half is forgettable. That’s why he had to leave the field during the break. Alban Ajdini was very careful at the front and logically had to go outside after an hour. Isma¨l Gharbi was the only attacking player at eye level, who is still technically very good and very valuable in the short passing game. Dany Da Silva kept SLO in the match for a long time before conceding two goals in the closing stages.
