American skier Stella Johansson fell during the European Cup giant slalom in Zinal.

Bad luck with injuries for Stella Johansson (20): At the European Cup giant slalom in Zinal in Switzerland, the American was the fifth driver to have an unfortunate fall after a misunderstanding in the first run – the Skinews platform reports. According to initial findings, Johansson may have suffered a serious injury to his left knee. Driving to the finish area was no longer possible. The first examinations will be carried out in the hospital in the coming days.

What is especially annoying is that the risk taken would not even have paid off. The race was initially stopped in the first run after the 38th of 76 riders due to a fog bank on the upper part of the slope – and was stopped shortly afterwards after starting number 50.
