This is what the official ATP Tour page looked like on Tuesday morning.

Something strange is going on here, the tennis fanatic thinks when he visits the official Facebook page of the ATP Tour on Tuesday morning. And the page has no less than 3.8 million followers. But the profile photo and the first messages from this Tuesday have nothing to do with men’s world tennis. You see photos of a football stadium, with an Albanian flag in the foreground.

It’s not just any flag. It shows the double-headed Albanian eagle on a red background and the outline of Greater Albania. Greater Albania is an area that, in addition to the current Albanian national territory, also includes parts of Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and all of Kosovo. A flag mainly celebrated by Albanian nationalists.

Now Djokovic is back

Why is this topic shown on the ATP site? Apparently the account had been hacked – just in time for Albanians’ Independence Day. The state of Albania was founded on November 28, 1912.

The image of Albania was visible on the site for several hours. Shortly before noon, the ATP was apparently able to solve the problem. Novak Djokovic (36), the number 1 in the tennis world, now looks confidently at the tennis fan who visits the Facebook page again. (mom)
