Mathilde Gremaud wins the start of the World Cup winter freestyle skiing for the second time after being rejected. Qualifying results will also count towards the slopestyle event on the Stubai Glacier, as was the case at Big Air in Chur at the end of October.
The Freiburg native, 2022 Olympic champion and 2023 slopestyle world champion, achieved her third World Cup victory in this discipline in Austria – she has already achieved six in big air. The 23-year-old is rewarded for going full throttle in qualifying. The organizers decided to cancel the finals due to the unfavorable weather forecast for the weekend.
Giulia Tanno (5th) from the Swiss team is also in the top ten. Andri Ragettli took 5th place among the men. (SDA/che)
