Miroslav Klose (l.) is enthusiastic about the development of Jamal Musiala.

Ex-national striker Miroslav Klose (45) revealed previous technical problems with Bayern Munich youngster Jamal Musiala with a wink. “Yes, he had a few mistakes with his stick,” said the DFB record scorer (71 goals), who trained Musiala in the U17s with the German record champions, in an interview with the trade magazine “kicker”: “We are still writing at each other and discuss his previous allergy to leather funny.”

The 20-year-old’s development is “excellent. Jamal accepted everything, wanted to implement everything immediately and always worked very hard,” Klose reported at the time, adding: “And today you see how he processes the balls at top speed with the right and left and how tightly he holds the ball. It’s a pleasure to watch him.”

Question marks about other Bayern talent

Klose closely follows the path of his former players in Munich. Frans Krätzig, who recently signed a professional contract with FC Bayern, also thinks that the 45-year-old can have a great career. “He can do everything in football. The question is whether he has the robustness and speed for the Bundesliga,” said Klose, who currently works as a TV pundit.

The World Cup record scorer is not averse to a new coaching job after his dismissal from SCR Altach in Austria in the spring of this year. ‘I am free and of course I would be ready. But it has to fit. I can imagine a lot, but working in Germany again would of course be extremely attractive,” says Klose. (AFP)
