Shirin David (28) jumps around her backstage area in great excitement on Saturday evening before the concert in the Olympiahalle in Munich. The reason? Manchester City star Erling Haaland (23) sent the German musician a video message and wished her good luck on her concert tour.
“Hey Shirin, Erling Haaland here. I heard you’re going on tour. I wish you the best. Only the best, just answer,” Haaland says in English, and then in impeccable German he says: “Goodbye!” complete. Shirin David posted the video along with her own response to her Instagram channel.
New celebrity dream couple?
Not only Barbara Shirin Davidavicius, the real name of the rapper, but also David’s followers are enthusiastic about the video message. “My favorite football player is making a video for my favorite rapper,” says one fan happily. While another hopes Haaland is in Shirin David’s next music video, one fan goes even further: “Now I really want to know what a child of yours would look like. Will you? For me?”
So can we look forward to a new dream couple and upcoming offspring soon? Hardly likely! At least not when it comes to the actual trigger of the video message. “I always say: I really want to take a picture with Haaland. “I think I look 1:1 like him without makeup,” Shirin David joked during the casting show ‘The Voice’, in which she supports musical talents as a coach. This statement has now apparently reached the currently injured Norwegian star striker, after which he sent his greeting video.
“We were born in the same Viking tribe”
The caption for the video also shows that the relationship between Haaland and the German rapper is (at least so far) more friendly than romantic: “My lost brother, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this incredibly sweet video.”
In her Instagram story, David once again mocks the specially made comparison. There she places a photo montage that should show how similar the two actually are. “Pati (Shirin David’s younger sister Patricia, editor’s note) says we were born into the same Viking tribe and switched after birth,” she writes.
