A difficult topic remains: the weather on the Matterhorn. After the men’s downhill races had to be canceled last weekend and only one of the three possible training sessions for the women could take place, the first women’s race is now in jeopardy. The reason: the wind is too strong, so the lifts could not be put into use as planned.

The FIS announced on Saturday morning that the start time of the first of the two stages will be temporarily postponed from 11.45 am to 12.30 pm. You should expect further delays.

Another descent for women is scheduled for Sunday (11.45 am). Last season, none of the Matterhorn races – neither for women nor for men – could be held. (par)
