Sébastien Buemi is again world long distance champion. The 35-year-old from Vaud and his Toyota teammates Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa were not pushed away from the top of the general classification during the season finale in Bahrain. The trio repeated their triumph from last year.

As befits world champions, Buemi and Co. ended the season with a victory – the second in the seventh race (with six podium finishes). Second place in the eight-hour race in Sakhir was taken by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in the other Toyota, which also finished second in the World Cup standings.

For Buemi, this is his fourth title victory in the World Endurance Championship after 2014, 2019 and 2022.
