Questionable performance by Basel in Lausanne. FCB loses 3-0 at the Stade de la Tuilière. Two days later, FCB boss David Degen (40) pulled the cord. He dismisses coach Heiko Vogel (47), the club announced in a statement.
Vogel took over the coaching position at the end of September after he and the FCB management dismissed coach Timo Schultz (46) as sports director. Initially it was said that he would hold the office temporarily. But it soon became clear: Heiko would remain on the bench and there would be no return to the head of the sport. About a month later, Vogel also has to leave.
