Aryna Sabalenka has had an optimal start to the WTA Finals.

Aryna Sabalenka, the number 1 in the world, starts with a show of power at the WTA Finals in Cancun.

The 25-year-old Belarusian won the first eleven matches in Mexico against Maria Sakkari (WTA 9), after which the Greek at least avoided a ‘glasses’ (0:6, 0:6 defeat) after three match points were repelled with a score of 1:5. The two will meet for the third time during the WTA final; Sakkari won the first two times.
