Dominique Aegerter (33) cannot benefit from the good starting position in the first race during the final of the Superbike World Championship in Jerez. The Oberaargauer, who started from second place, is in 18th place after technical problems.
At the top, the rankings show the same picture as most of the season comes to an end. Alvaro Bautista (38) wins dominantly on a Ducati and thus completes the successful defense of his title in a fitting manner. A 14th place would have been enough for the Spaniard to become world champion, just like last year. Bautista took his 25th victory in the 34th race of the year ahead of the Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu (27), who is also in second place in the overall standings.
It became clear early on that Aegerter would have nothing to do with a top result. The problems with the Yamaha become clear from the first meters. Aegerter loses position after position and is already at the back of the field after a quarter of the distance. (SDA/mbi)
