Mikaela Shiffrin enters the new ski season as the reigning overall World Cup winner.

Mikaela Shiffrin (28) won the “Skieur d’Or”, awarded by the International Ski Journalists Association, for the third time. She already received the award in 2017 and 2019. The 28-year-old American impressed by winning the overall World Cup and the World Cup title in the giant slalom.

In the elections she somewhat surprisingly won against Marco Odermatt (26), who not only won the overall World Cup last season with a record number of points of 2042, but also had two world titles to his name.
