The board of directors of FC Basel puts its money where its mouth is and installs a sports committee. It includes president David Degen and board of directors Andy Rey, as well as Marco Streller, Ruedi Zbinden, Martin Andermatt, Daniel Stucki and Valentin Stocker.
“The committee deliberately includes people who are not directly involved in the day-to-day affairs of the first team,” the FCB statement said. The aim is to “guarantee continuity and independence in every situation” and to distribute decisions across several shoulders.
