It is still unclear whether Martina Voss-Tecklenburg will return as Germany coach.

Surprising news about Martina Voss-Tecklenburg: The DFB coach, who has been away from her position for weeks, is no longer on sick leave. “I have been on my DFB-approved holiday for fourteen days,” the 55-year-old told the SID on Sunday.

Earlier, irritation had already arisen because Voss-Tecklenburg had recently performed in public. She gave a lecture on Thursday at the Bavarian Dentist Day in Munich. Publicly, Voss-Tecklenburg was still considered to be on sick leave.

The DFB confirmed the holiday on Sunday. The Voss-Tecklenburg association was also informed about the performance in Munich and “took note of it”. A “joint discussion should take place immediately after the end of the holiday.” (AFP)
