Serious setback for VfB Stuttgart: second in the Bundesliga has to be without record striker Serhou Guirassy for “a few weeks”. The 27-year-old suffered “a small muscle injury to the back of his left thigh” during the victory over Union Berlin (3-0) on Saturday. VfB announced this on Sunday.
“The loss of Serhou is bitter for him personally and for us as a team. Everyone has seen the excellent form Serhou has been in recently,” said coach Sebastian Hoeness: “We must and will compensate for his loss as best as possible.”
