Ricardo Feller narrowly missed the podium in the first Hockenheim race of the German Touring Car Championship. The 23-year-old from Aargau, who started 7th, fought his way to 4th thanks to a strong performance.
This leaves Feller in third place in the overall standings, but with no chance of winning the title before the final race on Sunday. This must go to Austrian Thomas Preining, who celebrated a dominant victory in Hockenheim and extended his lead at the top. Only the Italian Mirko Bortolotti, who finished 5th directly behind Feller, still has a minimal chance of intercepting Preining. (SDA)
