Cup winners and play-off finalists Kriens-Luzern had to deal with their second defeat of the season against GC Amicitia Zurich last Sunday. The people of Central Switzerland were probably happy that Kreuzlingen, bottom of the table without a win, were visiting this weekend.

Long balanced game

But before the 35:31 victory and thus the sixth victory of the season is assured, the team, which competed without Andy Schmid, must be patient. At halftime the game was evenly matched (17:17), only then did the home team take control and eventually win occasionally. A cushion of up to seven goals helped Lucerne secure an undisputed victory. Gino Steenaerts is the most successful pitcher with eight goals.

Kadetten Schaffhausen also safely took two points. The Swiss champions led against St. Otmar St. Gallen at halftime with a difference of ten goals (22:12), so that they never hesitated again in the second half. Schaffhausen’s top scorers are Odinn Rikhardsson and Ariel Pietrasik with six goals each. (SDA)
