FC St. Gallen remains financially healthy. He ended the 2022/23 financial year with a consolidated profit of 603,000 francs. Income rose again, from 32 to 37.5 million francs.
As the Eastern Swiss Super League club announced, the positive result is partly due to the record number of spectators. Last season, an average of 17,575 spectators attended FCSG home games, which led to additional income from ticket sales and catering. Other favorable factors are the positive developments in the field of sponsorship, hospitality, merchandising and business events and the positive transfer balance.
Coach Peter Zeidler’s team finished the 22/23 season in sixth place at the end of May. After nine games, St. Gallen is currently in fourth place – four points behind FC Zurich, the leader. On Saturday, Espen hosted the newly promoted Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy at home. (SDA/yap)
